A Labradoodle is a crossbreed between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle (any of the three sizes). There is some dispute on the origin of this popular cross, which may have been developed as a guide dog for companion people with pet allergies -- Labradors are well-suited to guiding and the curly coat of a Poodle in non-allergenic to many who otherwise suffer with pet hair allergies.
